چکیده

An efficient method based in template wetting is applied for fabrication of ordered Poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO) nanopillars with b-phase morphology. In this process, nanoporous alumina obtained by anodization process is used as template. PFO nanostructures are prepared under ambient conditions via infiltration of the polymeric solution into the pores of the alumina with an average pore diameter of 225 nm and a pore depth of 500 nm. The geometric features of the resulting structures are characterized with environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM), luminescence fluorimeter (PL) and micro μ-X-ray diffractometer (μ-XRD). The characterization demonstrates the b-phase of the PFO in the nanopillars fabricated. Furthermore, the PFO nanopillars are characterized by Raman spectroscopy to study the polymer conformation. These ordered nanostructures can be used in optoelectronic applications such as polymer light-emitting diodes, sensors and organic solar cells.

Solution-Crystallization and Related Phenomena in 9,9-Dialkyl-Fluorene Polymers. I. Crystalline Polymer-Solvent Compound Formation for Poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene)

Polymer-solvent compound formation, occurring via co-crystallization of polymer chains and selected small-molecular species, is demonstrated for the conjugated polymer poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO) and a range of organic solvents. The resulting crystallization and gelation processes in PFO solutions are studied by differential scanning calorimetry, with X-ray diffraction providing additional ...

Exciton regeneration dynamics in model donor-acceptor polymer heterojunctions.

We present a theoretical investigation on various semiconducting materials that exhibit photovoltaic and photoluminecent properties. Our focus is on the relaxation dynamics that occur upon photoexcitation of a couple of type II donor-acceptor heterojunction systems. In addition to the diabatic approach our two-band exciton model employs to study the phonon-assisted relaxations, we adopt the Mar...

Spectroscopic properties of poly(9,9‐dioctylfluorene) thin films possessing varied fractions of β‐phase chain segments: enhanced photoluminescence efficiency via conformation structuring

Poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO) is a widely studied blue-emitting conjugated polymer, the optoelectronic properties of which are strongly affected by the presence of a well-defined chain-extended "β-phase" conformational isomer. In this study, optical and Raman spectroscopy are used to systematically investigate the properties of PFO thin films featuring a varied fraction of β-phase chain segme...

Use of the beta-phase of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) as a probe into the interfacial interplay for the mixed bilayer films formed by sequential spin-coating.

Spin-coating one polymer solution on another spin-cast polymer film is believed to result in unfavorable interfacial mixing. Here, we show some results to demonstrate that some interesting properties will be obtained in such mixed bilayer films formed by sequential spin-coating. Poly(9-vinylcarbazole) and poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-2,7-diyl) were chosen as the first and second polymer layers, res...
